I am a bit worried on mob hysteria in Nigeria. The current Queens College case gives me concern. I sense we all want the right things done, but we want to bypass process. We want blood but we want it without proof.

We say if there is smoke there must be a fire. We even put the BBC case into the mix.

Last week a father was set free after 2 years detention following an accusation he raped his daughter. The judge said the prosecutor did not do diligent prosecution and presented no evidence. It does not mean he was innocent. These things occur.

But condemning someone based on a story in a blog is no better than putting tyres on a thief in Oshodi.

I have read all I can find, I have not seen any official admit to receiving a complaint. If this is a cover up, it is a damned good one.

A parent that had her child molested would not stop at the VP office. They would go to Principal and maybe Education Ministry or the police. No one has corroborated the story. Yet we want blood.

Social Media!!! It is getting harder staying on it. If you were in a jury which we all are by extension would we convict based on what we have seen?
