ABIA STATE GOVERNMENT TO THE DSS – THERE ARE NO SHALLOW GRAVES IN ABIA STATE.
The Department of State Services have been told in no uncertain terms that there are no shallow graves anywhere in Abia State where any Fulani man was buried by anybody.
When the DSS discovered the so called shallow graves, they never contacted the state government for clarification before they went to town with their gist.
The DSS should stop creating panic in Abia State and face the ever growing concerns from the marauding Fulani herdsmen who have taken it upon themselves to breach security in the country.
Till date, the DSS has not issued any statement against the activities of Fulani herdsmen who have caused incalculable mayhem across the country. They destroy farmlands, kill, maim, and rape.
I have not heard the DSS issue one single statement on the menace of these crazy terrorists who call themselves Fulani herdsmen. Even when they are all over the place, the DSS is yet to arrest any single Fulani herdsman.
Abia State, DSS and Shallow Graves
Last week, the DSS released a statement where they alleged that five Fulani herdsmen were abducted by IPOB members somewhere in Isuikwuato, murdered and buried in shallow graves.
In a pure display of investigative magic, the DSS even told us the names of the five Fulani men who were murdered, yet they have not mentioned one single name of any Agatu indigene out of the hundreds killed by Fulani herdsmen for daring to defend their farmlands.
I am not a member of IPOB neither do I believe in what they are doing but one thing I know for sure is that IPOB is not a violent group. They have so far carried on their activities peacefully and the suggestion that they killed and buried five Fulani men is anachronistic and ridiculous.
Soldiers opened fire on unarmed members of IPOB in Aba some months back, till date, none of those people killed has had his name mentioned by the DSS neither have we heard of any disciplinary action taken against those killer soldiers, yet Boko Haram continues to release bombs in the north.
The DSS should leave Abia State alone as we grapple with our own peculiar developmental challenges. We will resist any plan by the DSS to give the impression that Abia people are murderers. We are not, please.
President Buhari should please note that if you touch Abia, you touch my soul. What we want in Abia is development and not reports of phantom shallow graves. All Federal roads in Abia State have decayed. Come and fix them. Send your security operatives to Aba to confront the rising incidences of criminality, since the Governor does not control any security agency.
I have resisted the lure of abandoning my support for the Buhari government but any attempt to create panic by federal forces and paint my state in bad light will, with automatic alacrity activate the other side of me.
